Safaiwala is an action plan by AlWasila Trust to bring cleanliness and clear all the dirt from the homeland. Maintaining cleanliness is an essential part of healthy living and that's what Islam teaches us.
As an AlWasila initiative, we set out to
- Clean the land, one neighborhood at a time; build sustainable housing; and enhance the standard of living.
Our project in a nutshell:
- Mapping the neighborhood
- Instituting Safaiwala (members) to help with weekly spring cleaning
- Appointing a Safaiwala (operation) for rubbish collection
- Maintaining dumpster sites
- Keeping drains clean and functional
